Now, he’s found his rhythm in Detroit, playing some of the best basketball of his career since his time with the Timberwolves in 2020-21. Without Beasley, it’s hard to believe the Pistons would have achieved a record of 37-29 and be in contention for home-court advantage in the postseason!

Hunter’s odds have taken a sharp downturn over the past month. While he continues to produce decent numbers, he has not matched the consistency shown by Beasley and Pritchard. Consequently, Hunter's odds to win the NBA 6th Man of the Year have plummeted from +280 to +1400!

Regardless, the former Atlanta Hawk has had a commendable season. After being acquired in a trade, his performance with the Cavaliers has not met expectations, partly due to the depth of options available in Cleveland, which has limited his offensive opportunities.

Hunter has been exceptional from beyond the arc, boasting a 50% shooting rate from three-point territory since joining the Cavaliers. Overall, he’s also shooting 50% from the field, so he hasn’t lost his touch. However, the production levels from Beasley and Pritchard may still be more appealing to voters.

Hunter could be the final piece the Cavaliers need. The team has gone unbeaten with a remarkable record of 15-0 since their acquisition of him! While I see value in Hunter’s odds for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year 2025, I remain skeptical that voters will favor him in their decisions.
